Hertzler & George has provided the landscape services (maintenance, design, repairs and preventative care) for the Boundary Homeowners Association for the past several years. We contracted with H&G after several years of sub-standard maintenance at our property by a variety of small, local lawn care providers. H&G proposed a plan to preserve the original landscape architect’s concept and restore the plantings and grounds to a scale that complements our buildings, walkways, driveways and the various areas of full sun and full shade. In addition, H&G has recommended economical and attractive landscape designs for areas that have reached the end of their attractive lifespan, and our turf has never looked better. Since our property fronts an intersection of two downtown streets, it is important that our grounds look their best.
We have been very satisfied with H&G’s services, which include not only basic lawn care services but also a wide variety of advanced techniques for protecting and ensuring the health and appearance of our entire property — from planting bed pest control and irrigation needs to hand pruning of shrubs, preservation treatments for aging trees and prompt clean-up after wind storms or tree limb damage. H&G also maintains our brick walkways and handrails, and they have recommended upgrades to our walkway lighting system, which has reached the end of its useful life. The H&G team is professional, prompt and polite, and they are easy to contact via office phone, individuals’ mobile phones or e-mail. Their contract services are easy to use and we don’t have to call to ask if the grass needs to be cut or leaves need collecting or shrubs need pruning. Our quarterly walkthroughs with an H&G representative are especially productive as we review maintenance and long-term design goals and budgets. We consider H&G a partner in improving and maintaining our property. Their costs are reasonable and their services are superb.
