I just wanted to let you know that you can commend the crew on the fine job that they did in mowing our lawn yesterday. The crew member who did the actual mowing was very careful. He did not rush or spin his wheels and, therefore, our lawn did not look scalped but rather carefully mowed.
Also, we looked at the H&G video online on leaf removal and are looking forward to having this complete removal of leaves performed on our lawn during the fall.
Thank you.

Good morning. Josh just finished up with sod and adjusting coverage area for heads. He has done an excellent job. Josh is a professional and thorough technician and we look forward to having him back again next spring. Let him know he does great work.

Tom,
I just got your voice message. The landscaping looks great. We were outside and our neighbors complemented us on the roses; I know I am going to enjoy them.

I just wanted to put in a word for Cal. He’s been so great to work with and couldn’t be more pleasant! He really goes above and beyond.

The crew was very professional, efficient, and informative.

Hi, Mother Nature didn’t make the job easy but Paul and all the guys were amazing. I admit it was lots of fun to watch boys and their toys. We are so pleased with the clean up…I owe to the guys for all their hard work.

I want to let you know we are very appreciative of the work of your employees to try and get everything done with our irrigation system prior to our going on vacation. Joshua, Craig, and Asa worked at the end of the day to mark the sprinkler heads and set up the system to water the new seed while we are gone. Once again these three men should be commended for working until nightfall to try and get everything right.

“The best seed I’ve ever seen”

Wanted to drop you a short note and let you all know what a blessing and delight it is to work with you. I have been in the business world for over 4 decades and have rarely seen anything comparable to you folks. Your interest, your response and your work speak volumes! My first contact with Joshua was super; my next with Paul was incredible. Thanks so much!! Your office staff is always superb!

The men did a wonderful job on the pruning! It looks sooo pretty! They worked long and steadily and Oh What a Difference!!’ Our yard now looks Very Well Manicured indeed! I just want to walk around and look at everything!

Joshua, Mrs. P (Ford’s Colony) called to say how absolutely wonderful you were and how impressed she was with your work. Apparently 2 other companies did not even investigate the leak properly and by you discovering the problem at its source, you saved her a lot of money. She wants us to give her estimates for annual irrigation maintenance and for a lawncare program, as she would like to switch to H&G for these services.

Special thanks to Troy for the terrific work he has done mowing our yard!

Your guys [Asa and Craig] just left. Please pass on to Joe how impressed I am with both of them. Great guys.

We were very impressed with the thorough job that Ed and his co-worker did in pruning all of our shrubs and bushes yesterday. We really could not believe all that they accomplished from the time they arrived at 3 pm and worked steadfastly until 6 pm. Ed made sure he knew what we needed at the start and ensured all was completed by the time they left. We were very pleased with the quality of their work in such heat.

Every single member of your organization is rated Number One.

Tom, we want you, Philip and your entire crew to know how much we love our new landscaping and the wonderful work you all did for us. It is beautiful!! It makes the house look new and we’ve been getting loads of compliments from our neighbors and friends. And, hopefully, some additional work for you from them!

We have moved from our house on Montpelier Dr…does Hertzler & George cover any of the Richmond area? We want to get a company up here to start helping with our new lawn and really like the services you provided.

Hello, Tom and Phillip,
I’m thrilled to let you know that our property has been selected to receive the City of Williamsburg’s Beautification Award in the Individual Category. In its letter to us, the Committee noted “the large scale improvements to this dwelling including the beautiful landscaping with thoughtful plantings, waterfall and use of organic materials enhance not only this property but the Pollard Park neighborhood.”
Needless to thank, we have you two and the rest of the Hertzler & George team to thank for the critical role you played in our efforts! Please share our thanks with everyone…

WOW! We’re really liking where this is going. You’ve captured our discussed thoughts beautifully. I think you really nailed this design.

This comment came in about one of our full-service commerical ground services accounts: “I came back from vacation and found that our corporate team was coming to our Williamsburg facility for an inspection. I called Joe Hertzler at 9am on a Monday and asked him to cut/trim the grounds because our team would be there by noon. He redirected his staff and had them there by 10:30 am. They finished and our corporate team loved the way the grounds looked…Thanks to Joe and his team…Kevin”

I just want to send back some very positive feedback on Joshua. He was very responsive yesterday despite the late hour and the situation with his truck. He is always very professional, listens carefully to our needs and does his work with a smile. Very nice representative for H&G.

Just a note to compliment Martha Poe on her visit to my house today. This was a Bed Pre-Emergent treatment, she spent considerable time removing the grasses that had moved into beds. While I can’t say for sure that this had never been before I can’t recall ever seeing anyone take the time to do this before treating the areas. I think she is a good addition to your staff.

CC accepted our proposal for the native shrub planting (a beautification project at the Chickahominy Riverfront Park on behalf of the Williamsburg Area Bicyclists ). Thank you for assisting us with the plans!

Your men jumped right on the job. Fantastic. Very courteous and knowledgeable. Thanks for sending them over. The wife will be very happy.

We just wanted to let you know that we were very pleased with the pruning that Craig and Randal did today. Craig organized the work and everything was done to our satisfaction. They were very conscientious and thorough and Craig walked through the property with us in case we had any adjustments to make, and we didn’t. Very good job. Thank you.

Asa is another great employee of H&G. Our lawn looks a LOT better, but most important he and his mate were great to deal with.

Good morning Paul – just a short note to say thank you for your dedication to taking care of our property – I appreciate how quickly and thoroughly you and your crew got out to the house after the hurricane to first evaluate and then second clear all of the damage – with us being so far away, it is of great comfort to know that we have you to rely on to help us care for our property – it must have been a long week for you and your crew – hopefully you will get some downtime this week-end! – thanks again…

The crew just installed french drains and new fronts steps at my house. They were a delight to work with and everything looks great. I highly recommend Hertzler & George for any yard project.

Your company took such excellent care of our lawn that we never had to worry about what it would look like when we returned home, so again, thank you. We will, of course, recommend you to the new homeowners, and our friends. We are living in New England now, and are back to cutting our own grass!

We love the new path! Its just what we wanted — and so happy that we didn’t have to do the back-injuring labor. The rain garden caught quite a lot of water during the rain on Saturday and Sunday – looks like it will help substantially with the runoff issues.

Thank you, so much for your garden design. It is wonderful. My herbs love their new raised bed home. After being in pots for three months they have doubled in size in the last two weeks. Vegetables for fall are planted in the second bed. the shrubs seem to be thriving. I so appreciate the thought and planning that went into my yard. It is exactly what I wanted.

wanted you to know that Scott and Mike pruned our house on Tuesday and did an excellent job on it. I’m very happy with the way they handled everything. It looks beautiful! Thank you very much.

I have been watching a remodeling and yard project just off Jamestown Road, and Hertzler & George has done an outstanding job landscaping around a new porch. It looks absolutely wonderful. If I ever needed anybody, they would be the ones to call.

John, Steve and Steve did an exceptional job…They worked hard and long and cleaned up afterwards. We are very pleased with their work and your service. As we’ve aged, it is harder and harder to maintain our yard totally by ourselves. We’ll certainly recommend your company.

I continue to be impressed by the attention and service your company provides.

I referred your company to my neighbors C. and J. B. here in Ford’s Colony for some landscaping work. I was happy to hear the woman who went to their house offered good suggestions and they were very pleased with the work. In fact, they called again and had your company do additional work for them. Chet thanked me again for recommending your company and mentioned it at a neighborhood get-together. I am glad it worked out.

Phillip, I truly appreciate you responding to our questions so quickly. Could not ask for better service.

I’m just calling to say that Kevin, Ed, Reggie and Paul did a great job. Thank you so much. Everything turned out really well. Beautiful actually! We really appreciate all the hard work, especially Ed and Reggie…they really worked hard. They all did a great job! And thanks to Kevin for overseeing the whole thing.

Could you please have your management pass along our appreciation to Craig and Robert for their superior job pruning this morning. As with the May pruning, our tress, shrubs, and plants will flourish better and look better as well. In addition to aesthetics, their pruning was also done with an eye towards health of the plants as well as sunlight for some shady spots of the lawn. Special care was also given to pruning away from the house to prevent bugs and other critters from coming migrating to the sides or roof of our home. Accommodating us while the dog is out of the house and arriving exactly at the time requested to Michael makes life easier and I thought both Craig and Robert courteous, professional and a pleasure to work with.

Hi Caroline/Michael
Please thank Craig & Robert for trimming & tying up bushes and lopping off the tree branch (squirrel) diving board to our deck!
It’s gotten really humid out there! Stay in the A/C if possible!
Thank you.

The young man that fixed the sprinklers was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and easy today.

We thoroughly enjoyed our landscape meeting with Jeff Willett today. We found him to be very knowledgeable, willing to share landscape design suggestions and he interacted easily and professionally with each of our committee members. He supplied us with information that we needed regarding costs of design plans and estimated costs for design installation.

We thank Hertzler & George Landscapes and Jeff Willett for your response to our initial contact and scheduling of an early appointment.

Michael was very good in keeping us informed about the pruning schedule and we just wanted you to know that Craig and Matt (James) did an excellent job in pruning all our shrubs and bushes, etc. on Friday. They really needed to be trimmed and we are very pleased with the results.

would just like to thank you all for getting here so fast on my panic over the fungus on my yard. I told Cal that I had a dream that I woke up and the whole yard was gone because of fungus. So thank you very much for getting here so fast. It has relieved my mind.

I just wanted to let you know that Josh was just here to repair the irrigation system. He was very pleasant and kept me very informed on what he was doing. I appreciate the good service.

I just wanted to let you know that the crew did a fine job this past week of trimming our bushes, etc. I also wanted to recognize John for his supervisor role. He went over what he was going to do with me before any activity started and then had me review things afterwards to make sure all was done to my satisfaction. It was very good to have him on the job and I commend him.

Just to let you know how pleased we are with all your technicians and the service. You have an excellent website and I wish we had been headed in your direction when we built a couple of years ago. I’m very pleased we now have a professional company with which to do business! Very reassuring.

This would also be a good time to say this is the best crew we have had. The lawn looks great, the edging is clean & crisp and our old gate is kept closed! Thanks for another year of looking good.

Just wanted to give a note of appreciation for the quality of personnel especially the likes of Asa. I still believe H&G is the premier service in the area

WOW. We are so happy. I continue to be so impressed by the quality of staff you have assembled. This deck will survive a nuclear blast!
